Job Description:
As a Junior Data Engineer at ExamRoom.AI, you will work closely with our data engineering team to support the development, maintenance, and optimization of our data infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to contribute to various data-related projects, gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies and methodologies in data engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions to meet business needs.
- Develop and optimize data storage solutions for efficient data retrieval and analysis.
- Perform data cleaning, transformation, and aggregation tasks to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth data flow and reliability.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in languages in Python.
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases (e.g., MSSQL, PostgreSQL).
- Basic understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
- Knowledge of distributed computing and parallel processing frameworks.
- Familiarity with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift).
- Understanding of DevOps principles and tools for CI/CD.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
